Ingredients

  1. 6 Thick pork chops bone in or boneless
  2. 1 salt and pepper to taste
  3. 1 (12 oz) bottle of beer the darker the better
  4. 1 onion diced
  5. 2 tbsp flour
  6. 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  7. 1/3 cup ketchup
  8. 2 tsp dried thyme leaves
  9. 1 bay leaf

Cooking Instructions

    Put a little cooking oil in the bottom of a skillet.

    Season pork chops with salt and pepper.

    Cook pork chops till brown on both sides.

    Remove pork chops from skillet.

  5. 5

    Add diced onion to skillet and cook till translucent.

  6. 6

    Add flour and stir for about 1 minute.

    Meanwhile combine beer, ketchup, thyme, and brown sugar in a bowl.

    Put pork chops back in skillet with onions and pour sauce mixture in and add bay leaf.

    Simmer uncovered for about 20 minutes till sauce thickens. Flip pork chops once while cooking.
