    Do you have access to chips of any kind like hickory, Applewood or mesquite? If you do, when you get ready to grill the ribs put wet chips on the coals.

    Smoked paprika would work .

    Liquid smoke is not necessarily a required ingredient in most recipes that call for it. The other spices/flavoring will be plenty. People who dislike it (me!) leave it out routinely.
